5.0 out of 5 stars Really Good!!, October 28, 2008

I recently discovered this little tone wonder by cruising the guitar effect pedal vids on You Tube. (I discover a lot of new things that way, especially with independent user reviews). The sound of this little effect box was a real eye-opener! Plus, I was looking for something that would be very simple for practicing on the couch, that didn't require connecting a lot of wires or an AC adapter. Everyone seemed to be very positive about it - which has got to mean something.

My gear lust got the best of me, so the next day when I happened to be in Best Buy, I checked with their new music department (!) and there it was, they had several of them. I purchased it on the spot and couldn't wait to get home and tear the wrapper open.

There are almost no instructions included, except to tell you the obvious not to break it. I was a bit worried that it would not fit into the jack cavity on my two Stratocaster's, but it does quite nicely, so obviously that was part... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Pleasant Surprise, March 4, 2008
This review is from: Vox amPlug AC30 Guitar Headphone Amp (Electronics)
How many times have you bought an effect or a gadget like this for your guitar, take it home and find yourself totally disappointed? If you're lucky, you may be able to return it for a store credit at best. Well, after leaving the guitar store, I sat there over a cup of coffee and thought, what did I just spend $39.99 on? A little plastic box with a brown sticker to make look like a "cutsie" miniature Vox amp head, a jack and a few control wheels. However, I really needed something to plug into late in the evenings because my neighbors don't seem to share my appreciation of music. Looking at the Amplug, on the back, it appears it was Made In Japan. "I thought that's interesting, some of the best effects were manufactured in Japan like the original Tube Screamers and Boss pedals, maybe this would turn out OK".

Finally got home, installed the batteries, plugged it in and nothing... The batteries include with any of these devices are usually ready for the recycle bin... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect practice tool!, January 16, 2008
I have always thought of getting some sort of small headphone amp to plug into my guitar and practice with while lounging on the couch or around the house.

When I saw that Vox had made something that fit that description, I wasted no time in ordering this. I have a Vox Tonelab and just love it. This little do-dad is easy to use...thumb wheel controls for Gain, Tone and Volume. There is an Aux jack to plug in a CD or MP3 player to jam along with, and then of course there is the headphone out for your choice of headphones.

The analog circuitry inside is said to emulate AC30 amp, and I think it really does sound more like an amp than a tiny headphone amp. The Gain and Tone controls give you a pretty good control on tones either dirty and distorted or chiming and clean. I think you could even take the headphone out of this and go to a recording device to get a different tone for solos or recording projects as something different!

My take is that... Read more

Fender Mini Electric Guitar Stand

Product Description

Extremely lightweight, compact and portable, the Fender Mini Guitar Stand is a "must have". It folds up really small so that you can carry it in your guitar case, gig bag or tuck it in the back of your amp, but when you open it up it will securely and stably hold your guitar or bass with rock solid performance! With two models to cater to thinline howllow body and solid body electric guitars and basses, or larger hollow body and acoustic instruments the Fender Mini Stand has your back covered. Great things really do come in small packages!

  • Compact, strong and durable
  • Folds to fit in most gig bags or cases
  • Holds most standard shaped guitars

I have several of these Fender guitar stands for acoustic and electric guitars.
They are well made, solid, compact and easily transportable. These stands can take a lot of use. The instrument sits comfortably and securely in the stand at home or on stage. The material has not worn out in the past 10 years of use.

This electric guitar stand works perfectly! It is what you would expect from a stand with "Fender" written on it. I have a Fender Stratocaster and this stand is perfect. It is definitely designed to handle the Telecaster as well. I can safely recommend this for people who own a Gibson or Ibanez electric guitar as well.

I was very surprised that I received my Guitar Mini Stand so short a time. It was very nicely packed and very light too & very sturdy for my Limited Edition Fender. I might want to buy one more for my grandson's birthday next May. I can easily carry the stand in the Fender's carrying bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Amp, June 16, 2011
By
This review is from: Fender Rumble 75 Bass Amplifier (Electronics)
Got this about a week ago. I have two bass guitars and a practice amp. 15 watter. I went to Guitar Center to look for something a bit more powerful and this amp was my final choice. A few 30 amps sounded decent, but this one thumps. I didn't need the power of the 150 or 350 since I have neighbors. The 75 is loud enough to gig in small venues and bring out neighbors when playing in the garage. There are lots of features so it is pretty easy to hone in on the tone you are looking for. I was able to get sounds that I have heard before but have never been able to get with other amps I have used. The overdrive is great too when you want that gritty sound. It is a decent size and not too heavy. You can also lay it back like a monitor so you can hear yourself over the drums. I am glad I got it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect, sophisticated sound, October 16, 2011
This review is from: Fender Rumble 75 Bass Amplifier (Electronics)
I have been playing bass for 28 years and decided I needed a small practice amp. I did not want a cheesy, no name amp...something smaller then my Peavey 300w combo stack (15" with 2x10" cab). I love my 300w stack...but, overkill in most situations except when I am on stage. Anyway, I had too much amp for the house and wanted something small, yet powerful. This Fender 75 has lots of guts and plays a lot louder then I expected. The bottem end is clean, but the mid range will knock your socks off...zero distortion or hiss. I actually have to turn the bass tone control down. The unit looks sexy, has a big "Fender" emblem, and performs exactly as designed. I have owned several practice amps...5w, 20w, and a 40w. They all played okay...but never enough volume. This Fender will surprise you with its volume and rattle-free performance. Lastly, the price is a steal. At $249 with a 5-yr Fender warranty...you can't go wrong. Only negative...it is a bit cumbersome and weights 50 lbs or so... Read more

I am a beginner bass player and almost bought a kit guitar with one of those 15 watt amps. Glad I didn't! The Fender Rumble 75 really kicks out the sound and delivers room shaking bass! The amp is build rock solid, and I really appreciate the separate phono inputs where I can plug in my iPod or iPad. This let's me play along with the actual music. I play this amp in a very large room with tall ceilings and the Rumble 75 fills the space with plenty of power to spare. The dedicated foot switch input is a plus, and there are other nice features. You can't go wrong with this amp. I think it will serve me well for the years to come, and the price was right, too!
